Easy on joints! Designed to gently and appropriately increase fitness levels and help you stay active. This class will incorporate exercise balls, light weights, bands and other helpful training tools. As with all group classes the exercises can and will be modified based on your individual fitness level. Staying strong will help you stay active for years to come!
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing and a ball are offered for resistance and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
Bone Builders is an exercise program that incorporates strength
training, balance training, stretching, and fun into one hour, twice
weekly exercise sessions. Each session includes a ten minute discussion
about topics such as: fall prevention, heart health, proper nutrition,

Living Strong in Vermont:
A 12 week osteoporosis/falls prevention program sponsored by CVAA and Middlebury Fitness. The class is composed of weight training, stretches and balance exercises. Participants perform these exercises seated or holding on to their chairs. A donation of $48 is suggested. Interested people can call Maureen at 802-388-0866.
A flowing class of relaxation movement and flexibility with a focus on breath. Wonderful for aging bodies. There is a $3.00 donation per class.
Tai Chi for Arthritis:
Lead by certified volunteers this program, developed by Dr. Paul Lam adb promoted by the Arthritis Foundation, contains all the essential principles of Tai Chi that support the improvement of flexibility. Improved flexibility reduces stiffness and helps keep joints mobile. Study after study has shown Tai Chi can; reduce falls, improve sleep lower blood pressure, improve cardio endurance, relieve chronic pain, increase energy and provide an improved overall sense of being.
